I was reading How To Seize A Dragon’s Jewel (tenth book in the series) and by the time I got to this chapter, I was laughing my head off because even in the books, a panic-stricken Hiccup is an amusing Hiccup.

Probably? Oh, well, that’s reassuring.

it used to take me like an hour to get trough one of Cressida Cowell’s Hiccup books, but now it takes me at least a week. partially because they’ve gotten three times thicker, and partially because I have to stop every now and then to cry.

You know what’s cool

the fact that we never see Camicazi described as pretty or rated in that way at all literally all we know is that she is a very short girl with insane blonde hair and no fucks to give and also the fact she’s allowed to be confident and pleased with herself to the point of arrogance but it’s actually endearing and she’s never meant to be ashamed she protects her friends because they’re boys and thus must need a Strong Woman to defend them

and also how she’s allowed to make mistakes like idolising people and learn why that’s a bad idea and is allowed cry when no one sees and is more scared than she’ll admit and basically burglary and sword-fighting aside she’s just a really awesome teenage girl who’s allowed to be a teenage girl and just

I really love Camicazi okay

Although this is the part of the story that the bards tend to focus on as the bit where Hiccup was particularly Heroic, I do not agree. It is a lot easier to be brave when you know you have no alternative.

Also I’m not sure why but this doodle happened and I don’t really know what’s going on it’s just toothless, slightly beaten up hiccup, wodensfang and windwalker. Tis a strange conglomeration indeed. It’s what happens when a critique drags on for THREE HOURS STRAIGHT.

Anyways enjoy
